Bo was our first pet. Camie picked her up from the Humane Society in Fayettville, NC. She thought she was a Beagle mix. Good try, but I don't think so. She was a pretty pup, and very loving. She is quite the runner.
After Bo we got Ranger. He was the product of our neighbors
Pit Bull Terrier and a stray Chocolate Lab. Quite an unusual combination,
but they did make for cute puppies. Bo & Ranger hit it off
right away. Of course Bo still wanted to be the center of 
attention and had
no problem in letting Ranger know who the boss was.
Ranger being part water dog, he naturally took to the many bodies of water in our area. Not to mention he was a black dog in the North Carolina heat.
As Ranger grew up he took on the good looks of his
father, the Lab. He has the bark of the Pit Bull, but the personality
of the retriever. This makes for a good home protection system.
